We are absolutely in the best geographic location for B12 consideration but time & success are needed to make it happen. Until then go AAC........

I agree and so any delay in realignment is really what Memphis needs. Our football program is making real progress from where it was ... probably the worst program in the nation. Keep basketball up and improve football and wait.

Not only were we the worst football team in the nation *on paper* but it went so much deeper than that. The hole that Fuente has to climb out of is deep one.

How long can we realistically hope for Conn and Cincy to stay in league?

There is currently no place to go. We are in the same place as we were before:

- Publicly: Happy to be in the league that is the best of the secondary leagues
- Privately: Begging the B12 and Texas for a seat at the table every chance we get.

Put me down for public begging...if that's what it takes. 04-rock

Me too. I love the AAC and am happy to be thereā€¦ but would leave in a second if the B12 came calling 03-wink

Ditto.

I could dig some "road" games at TCU, Oklahoma and UT.

The AAC has afforded us a GREAT opportunity. We are currently in a great BB conference with SMU having one of the best PG in the nation next year, UCONN being defending champs and UC getting on track after Huggins left. I don't think UCONN or UC are going anywhere in the next 5 years or so. So....that gives us the opportunity to sell season BB tix using a quality product that we haven't had in a long time. It also gives us the opportunity to increase the quality of our FB program - at a time when all of us its importance (including the AD).

We could not have asked for much more in terms of our conference....we could have hoped for MUCH more in terms of our TV contracts! That's about it.
