I expect that Frazier is better with contract extensions than Compher.

AKA not giving the guy more money, more time while reducing the buyout fee...

Maybe he'll go the classic Jim Hendry route and give all the coaches no-trade clauses and absurd salaries.

Anything less than a top 4 seed in this years MAC Tournament would be a disappointment for me.

Is that the first time that's ever been said by an NIU fan? I'm thinking so...

Some of us have been waiting a long time for this and maybe, just maybe our time has come! I will never forget the games I saw at the Fieldhouse in 1971/72.

I hope the students today will have the memories we had from 40 years ago. I am lucky to name ten teachers I had at NIU that magical year but I can remember that starting lineup.

You've got to be a feisty old bird if you were around when NIU was good at basketball for a few years in a row. I salute them!

Biggest single season improvement in NIU basketball history and you have all that coming back with 1 more year experience and adding guys like Orris, Johnson, Highsmith, and Maric into the mix, yikes.

Meh, would have liked to see 2 years of improvement before an extension. If I did terrible at my job for 2 years but then improved to average, I doubt my employer would be trying to lock me down for more time. I just hope that this year wasn't a fluke.
