You would have to think so. With his wealth you would think they could afford the best possible care at home. If he is bordering on dementia, there isn't much you can do without being in an institution.

You would think they could afford in-home care. Strange really. Sad too.

.. much sadder than the Iris DeMent that's coming out the speakers...generally I push the button to another artist when she comes up.

Why wouldn't his family have him at home? Did they already take all his money? Or maybe it's a really nice place....?

I'm sure he is in a very secure and private facility.

Dementia side of Alzheimer's tends to lead to violent outbursts.

Remember Presient Regan stayed at home til he died, but he had Secret Service and other government assistance not available to mortal millionaires.

My mom was an RN and tried to keep my grandmother who had Alzheimers. The final deal that led her to have to go to a nursing home is that they wander at night. My Mom couldn't be awake 24 hours a day. My grandmother got out one night about 3am and the cops found her about two miles from the house with a suitcase strolling down the highway!
