Something has to be up, on its face this move makes no sense what so ever. Maybe Mizzou is about to get blasted with penalties or something.

Mizzou only went to the NIT last year and is losing its' best 3 players (one to graduation, 2 to the NBA) and things are going downhill in Mizzou. Tulsa has always been a good mid-major program with Bill Self, Tubby Smith and last year Danny Manning took them to the NCAAs. I think it is just a matter of Haith reading the writing on the wall.

Losing fan support, and confidence from the administration. He is leaving while he can still land a decent job.

RE: Haith to Tulsa
Frank Haith made one NCAA Tournament at Miami. The next year, he had four starters back, and finished below .500. More often than not, they sucked. And when he left, it was a mess with NCAA allegations.

At Missouri, he did finish the regular season ranked #5 and earned a #2 seed, but that was pretty much set up for him. They went on to lose in the round of 64. The next year, they started off ranked and were a disappointment. This past year, they missed the tournament entirely.

He has a history of digressing programs. I think Tulsa has made a big mistake.

RE: Haith to Tulsa
Missouri would have to pay the difference of his contract if Tulsa was paying him less. It is rare in any situation to get paid the total amount of both contracts if he was let go. Kind of like spousal support if you ex gets remarried.
