Excerpt of email I sent to Aresco
Excerpt of an email I just sent to Aresco:
_______

Mr. Aresco:

...Is the American fighting for inclusion in the new Autonomy model and Governance system. The American shares values with these 5 conferences and should be included, as well. It concerns me greatly that they are not included. To be blunt, what is the American doing to be included in this new Autonomy and Governance model and to be included in potential Actionable legislation?...

Sincerely,
_________

If you've read the new draft NCAA legislation circulating, it should concern you greatly that the AAC is being minimized by these 5 conferences, when they know full well the AAC would pass any legislation or models that they would to enhance student athletes, and wishes to be included in this process also.

I suggest you send one too to get your voice heard. If they hear from enough of us, maybe they will respond publicly. See here for details on this new autonomy and governance structure.

He may not be concerned, but do you think everyone should just sit silently by and say thank you may I have another. I won't.

I applaud your effort in sending the email I know from personal experience you can make your opinion known to the powers that be and get a response. People forget in this equation you have TV you have the schools and last but not least and most important the fans (no fans no big money) if fans say nothing, then they will believe what they're doing is alright with the fan base. May or may not make a difference, but at least there's a record of protest.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to speak up, but on this subject, I think you are off base. Nobody knows better than Aresco what the AAC needs and how to get there. Furthermore, nobody could work harder toward that end than he has.

I've got to agree. The man may be working diligently to ensure / hope for AAC inclusion with whatever road the Cartel is traveling down, but it doesn't hurt to question / show support of his efforts. At the end of the day the fans / alumni / donators are the ones that pay everybody's paychecks.
