Kittens free to good home
My son & daughter-in-law's cat recently had a litter of 5 kittens. They're almost 6 weeks old, are eating solid food and are using the litter box for both jobs.

awwwwwww........I see tabby markings - are they mainly tabbies?
I wonder if one of those would help our nutcase of a tortoiseshell chill out. Are there any boys out of the litter?

Of the 3 that are available, there are 2 boys and 1 girl.

They're so darn cute. We would love to take one ourselves, but we already have 3 cats.

And a dog.

And 2 guinea pigs.

Oh, yeah. And a couple of hummingbirds that we take care of (pick the spider web off them when they fly into the garage, provide feeders, etc)

oh my.....my first ever pet was a male tabby, and he was the SWEETEST thing ever.

my husband is gonna kill me. let me get him through the wedding shower I'm throwing this weekend at our house, then I'll broach this, LOL. if the kittens find homes beforehand, so be it.

thanks!

RE: Kittens free to good home
Please, please, please ask your son to have his cat spayed through one of the local low-cost programs (Mid-South Spay/Neuter.) There are not enough homes to go around for all the thousands of kittens who will be killed in "shelters" in this county alone. When someone's cat has kittens, it means others just as cute will be put to death.

I'm not judging. Those are darling kittens, and I have no way of knowing how your son came to have a pregnant cat. I am glad you all are looking for good homes. Please make sure to thoroughly check out the adopters by calling their vet because many people "gather" kittens and sell them for experimentation.
But please, please do not let that cat bring any more kittens into the world when there are thousands being put to death in this county every year. I do not mean to offend you.

Cats are wonderful, Tanya! If you want a cat that is more like a dog, Siamese are great. Maine coons are gorgeous, too. But please consider adopting a cat from a rescue group or the House of Mewes, to save a life. 04-bow

And it goes without saying, I hope the new adopters will also spay/neuter the kittens. That can be done at an early age. Midsouth Spay/Neuter Services (Animal Protection Association)

I know a lady who would love a kitten, but I'm sure her other 25 cats would be jealous.

If only the thread was titled slightly differently, I'm guessing OldManGrizz would have jumped at this chance for free kitties.
