If you ask the people over on main campus, they seem very happy with Adidas, particularly compared to the really crappy service we received from Nike. Unless there's a ridiculous blow away offer from UA, I hope they stick with Adidas.

As an adult I don't really care about jerseys since I cannot pull them off anymore. That being said, I don't see how anyone does not love wearing Under Armor. Most comfortable clothes I own. Only problem is that they are so damn expensive.

I am going to wear Under Armour beneath my UC cycling jersey when I go out riding in the next hour.

To explain the dynamics of Louisville, there are divided loyalties between UofL and UK. I would say it is a 65/35 split (I would carve out 5% of that pie for an others category , most comprising of Indiana fans).

Since Louisville does not have a MLB or NFL team, there is a heavy emphasis on college athletics. Everyone in town has either Louisville or UK clothing, hats, bumper stickers, flags, license plates, etc.

Outside of Louisville, the state is very heavy UK country. Louisville has a decent fan base in parts of Western KY (Owensboro, Paducah) but I would in other markets in KY UK has 90% of the fanbase.

I'd say that is a pretty accurate description.

It depends on what you mean by "getting richer". Here is a comparison of the two contracts.

Old contract (per year)
- $500,000 in cash
- $2.8 million in equipment/apparel/other

New contract (per year)
- $1.54 million in cash
- $6.26 million in equipment/apparel/other

Even though the new contract is significantly larger than the old one, it really didn't add a ton of cash. A $1 million per year is nice, but when you look at it next to an entire athletic department budget, it ends up being pretty small. From a cash perspective, the new deal is better but not in a substantial way.
