Big addition to the talent we have coming back.

We are done recruiting for next season. We got 3 guys we wanted early and got the guy we have been after for awhile today. Things are looking very good for next season.

We needed to add strength and toughness and we definitely did.

He sounds like a very skilled player. He's played mostly at the three, but some at the four, and even played some at point guard. That's pretty surprising for a player like him. He should be great addition to the team.

I feel good about our recruiting. We got this kid who we really wanted. Despite the fact that they didn't have great numbers, I think we really wanted the kids we signed early, or we wouldn't have signed them in the fall. Reid may be the shooting guard we have been wanting for awhile. The two kids from Memphis played on a talented team, and will be, at worst, good role players. I think Woods can be a stud in the Sun Belt. I think the timing of all the signings, either in the Fall or the first day of the Spring signing period suggests to me that they weren't "fall back" guys, but players we felt would really help us.

The most intriguing thing about Woods is that he's being signed as primarily an inside player, but shot nearly 40% from the three point line and had the ball skills to play the point at times. That's a very unusual combination. Steve is obviously loading up for a banner season. Finding a role for everyone that keeps them happy and playing enough minutes will be the coaches biggest job.

We're always ready to win the league. Being ready and doing it are two different things.

Micky, is this a banger or a sf? It sounds like he plays the 3 from reading through all of this.

Big article in the paper in which Steve says he can defend guys 6'7" because of his long arms and tough body. Sounds to me like he's going to fit in more at the four because of his body size. The same article lists him at 6'5", 220 lbs. and 6'4", 215 lbs. Maybe he loses and gains height and weight daily.

His Juco site lists him at 6-5, 230. Sounds like a bruiser to me.

I think we have a chance to be very good. Better than GaSt. I kind of doubt it. League will be better top to bottom. Texas State has a very good coach who signed a number of very good Jucos. The Butler assistant will turn USA around. ULM is improving. Not sure there are any sure wins in the league next year, but we can't let GaSt dominate the league like they did last year.
