To be honest, I do not know to much about the ACC QBs yet, being new to the conference. I do know that Will Gardner is the real deal and that Coach Bobby Petrino is very glad to have him. 04-cheers

I'm hoping Mitch Trubisky who went to the same HS as me wins that job at North Carolina

RE: 2014 ACC QBs
Gardner looked great the few times Charlie played Him. Looks though He was counting on Teddys Stats getting Him a Big12 Ticket to Texas. Guess it worked out for Him. Will still should have gotten more Game experience IMHO.
Just the Same though Bobby knows QB's and thinks the world of Will right now. Can teach Him His Way. That way is Big Numbers on the stat sheet.

Everything I've heard has Williams & Trubisky pretty much even with Mitch being a mire accurate passer& has a good grasp of the offense

I'd say there's a good chance that Carolina has the best backup QB in the league. How many times has anyone been able to say that with a straight face?

Terrel Hunt played very well in the last three games against bowl teams; he has improved his conditioning in the off-season as well as his throwing motion. Had the game winning drives in both the BC game and Minnesota game.

Actually, FSU's QB may be the backup - LINK.

I'm aware of the article. It's shoddy journalism, rehashing the same story and omitting some incredibly important details. But hey.

EDIT: There are close to 50 other universities being investigated over Title IX issues but they know the way to get tards to click their website is to write about the Heisman winner and national champion. For an author with multiple Pulitzers, there sure wasn't much groundbreaking information presented despite spending months in Tallahassee digging.

FSU released a statement about the article: http://fsunytimes.fsu.edu/

A portion:
Quote:The university expresses its deep disappointment in today's New York Times story alleging FSU officials did not properly investigate a rape allegation against Jameis Winston "in apparent violation of federal law." It also vigorously objects to the newspaper's characterization of the university as being uncooperative in explaining its actions.

The university provided the newspaper with a general statement (below) and numerous written answers over a period of weeks. Most of the responses were left out of the story, giving readers an incorrect impression of the university's efforts on behalf of sexual assault victims under Title IX.

And lastly, just a refresher of some of the victim's claims:
1. She was blackout drunk - False, according to a blood alcohol screening that same night she was below the legal limit.
2. She was drugged - False, according to toxicology reports by the FL Dept. of Law Enforcement and a second test performed by a UF toxicologist.
3. She was hit in the head - Likely False, she never reported this to police or the attending nurse at the hospital.
-----------
4. She had two separate DNA matches on her person and refused to identify whom she thought/knew the 2nd set of DNA belonged.
5. Her examination as part of the rape kit indicated no tearing of the posterior fourchette (specific vaginal area), which if torn would be indicative of forced intercourse.
6. She never filed a complaint with FSU that would've led to an internal Title IX investigation, nor was Winston arrested or charged with a crime. (New info)

When you can throw darts at a name for 2/3 of them, it's an unimpressive list. Should be more proven next year, but potentially without said "headliner".

RE: 2014 ACC QBs
For ND:

Everett Golson (Sr.--2 yrs. eligibility)

Malik Zaire (So.--4 yrs. eligibility)

DeShone Kizer (Fr.-- 4 years eligibility)

(ND always lists players by academic class on the roster, not by eligibility).

The assumption is that Golson will start, but Zaire had a good spring and a good spring game as a second year freshman.

Is there an Independents board?

Would your ND brethren have a hissyfit if they changed the way players' eligibility was listed on the roster?

It is relevant to this thread. And sorta half credit.
