I can understand a successful college coach trying to coach in the pros. Why would a failed college coach who has had success in the pros ever go back to college, though?

No kidding, I think that is the UTK list. I hear Greg Marshall is their 1st choice & after that, the list you provided with Rick Byrd at the top right after GM.

They will have to pay Marshall at least $3M a year. He will have a huge rebuilding year at UTK and has a lot of players returning at Wichita State next year. Tennessee passed over Marshall in 2001 and hired Buzz Peterson. Peterson last 4 years and got them to 2 NIT games.
