Just how much classier it is than whence we came..

The conference took out a full page ad in the student newspaper today in order to congratulate Pitt's three ACC post-graduate athlete scholarship winners.

The ACC also had a lobbying day for student government leaders in Washington, DC this past weekend.

Not that these things are a big deal, but through the year, there has just been a ton of little things that have really made a perceptible difference between our old and new home.

Bigger house, nicer neighborhood.

Keep in mind, they are comparing the ACC to the league they just left - the Big East / AAC.

I thought it was really nice that the commissioner sent me a bottle of Makers Mark just because I belong to the Orange Pack! This is a great conference!!

Pitt came from a power conference, not some mid-major, one that was winning just as much, if not more, on the fields and courts. Obviously, the Big East wasn't run as well, and it certainly didn't promote any sense of belonging or community. There are small things that the ACC does that really illuminate the superiority about how it conducts its business, things that probably wouldn't be noticed by those who haven't spent time elsewhere. Kudos to the ACC.

I couldn't imagine having to spend that year in the American. Thank goodness you knew the whole time it was only temporary.
