I think combining the future tense and the past tense in the title is the same as dividing by zero.

I think some of you are simply miserable bastards....lol. Hollywood hasn't run out of ideas, people just don't go see original movies anymore.

And why was the 1998 Godzilla suppose to be campy when it wasn't advertised as such? Godzilla needed to be updated especially with the current CGI that exists today.

Hmmm

I'd argue that the cost in going to the movies have made people more selective. Also, with the finances going into making movies going up, the studios are investing in stuff that will generate a good return.

Cost is a major factor. I definitely agree with you on that fact.

Agree. All of these re-makes are pathetic. Give me the old school, Japanese Godzilla flicks any day of the week. At least it was an original idea at the time and they had some comedic value.

Exactly.

A bunch of remade movies with avant-garde special effects, really bad acting, and horrible plots. I don't bother to watch them anymore.

It's proof positive how superficial & desperate for entertainment the public has become IMHO. "Bread and circuses" comes to mind.

I saw the movie Battleship....I wanted to fall off the Earth. It was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back

Your fault you saw Battleship. I knew that was going to suck when Rihanna was shown prominently in the trailer...lol.

I like the fact that these franchise movies are being reimagined. I think everyone would agree that the Christian Bale Batman series was better than the previous attempts. I don't know about the Ben Affleck version of Batman though.

I think Ben gets a bad rap. He wasn't a bad DareDevil. The script sucked.

Back on subject, The CGI version of Godzilla looks awesome!
