Good news for MAC fans--
ESPNU and ESPN News are now both in HD. I know this was an annoyance for those with good HDTV's to watch games in fuzzy SD.

What provider? They've been in HD for at least a year on UVerse.

Quote:The 720p high definition simulcast of ESPNU launched on August 28, 2008. The service debuted with the football game between Vanderbilt and Miami University. Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, Blue Ridge Communications, Atlantic Broadband and Broadstripe carried the HD channel at its launch.[9] In late 2008, the HD feed was added by AT&T U-Verse. Bright House Networks began adding the HD channel on a regional basis on November 7, 2009.[10] Cablevision added the HD feed on March 23, 2010.[4] DirecTV added the HD channel on May 19, 2010. Dish Network added the HD channel on March 18, 2014.

They've been HD for a while. Just not every game has been in HD.

Sounds like Dish.

Yes. I have DISH. I did not know is was available elsewhere in HD until today. No idea why DISH, who has been leader in HD programming, dragged its feet on ESPNU. I know it was annoying to watch games in SD, and a lot of MAC games were on ESPNU.

Yet another reason why Dish is the worst provider ever. I'll never go back now that I have U-Verse.

I have no problems with DISH. I've had it for 15 years and the reliability and customer service is infinitely better than cable. Of course, the other major option here is TimeWarner which is the worst.

Someone has suggested that if Comcast merges with TimeWarner, they should call the new company "Why is my internet so slow? Inc."
