Wow, what a terrible choice. First misstep this conference has made.

It can't work out worse for us than the 2014 tournament did-at home.

Fine. we'll go to Hartford and steal the silverware.

Our big loss is obviously Shabazz, but Daniels and Boatright are only juniors. They will be deciding this week whether to enter the draft or not. I would say both are probably 50/50 but Daniels has a good chance to be a first round pick so who knows. It's amazing what winning an NC can do for your draft stock considering neither was on any mock draft boards entering the tourney. As far as recruits we add two 5 star recruits in Rodney Purvis and Daniel Hamilton, and Juco AA Sam Cassell Jr.

Regardless of who comes back for UConn I think SMU, Memphis and UConn are the favorites and then there's a pretty big drop off.

Awful location for most everyone to get to, but they earned it with the NC.

Would behoove each of these schools to beef up their OOC schedules to offset some in-conference weak rpi games if they don't want to be slighted come time for tournament seeding, esp with the loss of UL.

Absolutely, especially after what we all learned on selection Sunday. The committee has no respect for this league.

There won't be more than 200-300 Tiger fans make that trip.

We probably won't have a team capable of going into that environment and coming out with a win BUT it's all speculation at this point.....we'll know what we have by Christmas......

I'm fine with it touring around. 2016 needs to be back south somewhere.

I have no problem with moving the conference tourney around, but I am curious if something was lacking in Memphis' response that help drive the decision. For example, were the Griz willing to set aside dates after enduring tough road games this year?

Our team got run off their own home floor and about 75% of us in the crowd were so disgusted that we left early. Early round games had no one and the sessions without the U of M had small crowds (based on TV).

Name me a tournament that has huge early round game crowds? The crowds for Friday and Saturday were pretty good the lower bowl was mostly full. Probably had about 10 to 12 thousand for the last two days. That's pretty good considering Memphis got knocked out.

My in-laws live pretty close to Hartford... we fly into Bradley when we go see them. I might be able to convince my wife to go to the tournament... :-)
