RE: Cars
I have a 97 Jeep Wrangler that's currently on the DL with a detonated transmission. It's paid for, so it'll sit until we get done renovating the house and I have the disposable income to fix/trick out. I want to put a mild lift and some 33" tires.

My current daily driver is an '05 Chevy Colorado Z71 crew cab. When I bought it I was a little hesitant about what kind of performance I would get from the I5 engine, but it's had more than enough power for what I typically need. All in all I have been pleased with it's performance.

If money were no object I would own a late 60's model Bronco. When I was a teen and looking for my first vehicle I just about bought a '68 with a 351 Cleveland in it. It was just my luck that the only vehicle that my mother rode along for the test ride was the Bronco and not being used to the power I toted the front wheels once.

RE: Cars
The Z71 is a popular truck on here.

I had an 04 F-150 Fx4 which I miss every day. It was slow as Christmas but tough as hell and comfortable. I traded it for a Sport Range Rover which was a nightmare. It was a real dumb idea.

RE: Cars
i was driving north of indianapolis last may taking the backroads to michigan and in my rear view were two cute gals in a chop top big ass truck. if my girlfriend and current wife at the time weren't with me, i would have stared in the rear view mirror for a few seconds longer.

current favorite car is the mini cooper. though my kia rio has some life left yet, i need me a beater truck for reliability, functionality and aesthetics. toyota trucks rock

This is the exact same vehicle I drive. Same color, configuration, and everything else.

Also, this is the exact same car I had as a 20 year old - a 1968 4 door thunderbird with a 429 engine. It would pass everything except a gas station. The only difference that I can see between this car and the one I had is I could never get the vacuum powered headlight covers to work. And I once had a drunk friend of mine in the back seat open the door while I was screaming down the highway. Because of the way the door opens the wind jacked it up and I couldn't close it again until someone aligned it for me.

The Yotas like that are pretty awesome. My buddy has had his for almost 10 years now and it has over 200,000 miles on it and it's in perfect shape. Absolutely everything on it works.

Have you seen the conversion kit for the current Camaro? It's a pretty good shot at what a Trans-Am would look like if Pontiac had survived.

I have not, but I remember that car being the car to have with the high school kids when I was a little boy.

A Trans Am and a Camaro are the same car, with a different body. Sometimes a different engine. But both were made by GM, who standardized construction across their lines, following Henry Ford's original basic technique to minimize the cost per vehicle.

My work vehicles have always been F-150s. They suck when compared to my Tacoma. Suck, I say.

My biggest complaint is the gear stick. Every one of them that I've drove (3 all older than '04) felt like I was going to snap it because it didn't want to move into drive. And I didn't like how the speedometer numbers were on the 5's instead of the 0's. I didn't actually have to use them for anything that required performance other than towing a boat once.

That's pretty sweet. It does have that retro look.

I'd like to have the one from Smoky and the Bandit.

Here's a better picture.

The good thing is that what's under the hood isn't retro. The old car was shocking. It had a 7.3L engine and less than 200 hp, if I remember correctly.

I gotta upload the picture I took in Tulsa this past weekend.. We came out of a restaurant and someone had parked an old Chevelle SS with a 396 next to my BIL's car.. Car was clean. Dude even left the windows down and the doors unlocked.
