In fact, I'll admit it, we only had 2 home games in 1977 and two technically "neutral games." Both games at Fouts were sellouts and the attendance was around 50K at both Texas Stadium games. That's back what he was likely talking about.

Even then, we sold out most home games in Fry's era, most of the seasons in the 70s. As usual, head meet ass.

your snaggle toothed self was not even alive in the 70s how in the hell would you know

Google, you inbred.

you know what is great about google

it is not your butt where you pull most of your "facts" from

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&..._dS5CQ_R-g

home attendance

1977 number of games 4

attendance 79,397

average attendance 19,599

my boot meets your ass further lodging your head up in it

perhaps you were misremembering things and it was actually 1970 and before that north Texas state averaged 30,000 fans

or perhaps you are trying to say that 50,000 fans were at one game in Texas Stajium in 1977 and then for the other Texas Stajium game and the Denton games it was an average of 9,799

I mean to get 50,000 for one game you must have been giving away 55 gallon drums of KFC or something

03-nutkick

I enjoyed making you look like a fool as always 03-yawn

Home stadium. Texas stadium games were neutral site LMFAO hahaha. I clearly said those should be considered but aren't hahaha. Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, guess that's why you got fired from UNT.

Or are you gonna say UTA filled the stands? Please do.

http://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/6753...807/m1/16/

that was the total home games you dolt

I know how to read and I also know how to spot a complete and total fool......unfortunately you don't even when you are staring at one in the mirror

SMU Texas Stajium

WTAMU Fouts

UTA Texas Stajium

NMSU Fouts

so again the totals I presented for the 4 home games included the two Texas Stajium games and it averaged under 20K which is nowhere near 30K and there is not a season listed on that link that is near 30K

I look forward to you telling us about the huge number of fans that showed up to see north Texas state play at Texas Stajium in 1970 and before (even though you are too ignorant to know that Texas Stajium was not opened in 1970 but I am sure that won't stop you)

again google > your butt

I'm just going to ignore the fact that you don't understand what a "neutral site game" is and ask you what is a Stajium? Total fool, eh? Well, if I'm a total fool at least I can write out a coherent sentence.

This is going a lot like every thread you're a part of. You are brilliant at Googling irrelevant statistics and using them to further your agenda...even though they're blatantly out of context or lies. Or, my favorite personally, saying that someone else's article is invalid because you don't like the source. You know, you'd do really well on FOX.

Just to set the record straight...The all-time Denton attendance record was set last year at 126,182 (21,030) for six games.

Our best single game attendance was 45,923 at Texas Stadium in Irving. Our largest Fouts Field crowd was 29,437 for Baylor. It is estimated that more than 36.000 North Texans attended the Heart of Dallas Bowl last year. These are not great numbers but we are showing improvement in attendance, thanks to increased involvement by our student body and winning.

I'm just going to ignore the fact that you don't understand what a "neutral site game" is and ask you what is a Stajium? Total fool, eh? Well, if I'm a total fool at least I can write out a coherent sentence.

so you are trying to pretend that 79K+ fans showed up to see north Texas state play at Fouts for 2 games which would be an average of 39,500 fans in a stajium that only holds 20K at the time and then another 50,000 fans showed up each game for a "neutral site" game that north Texas state is counting as a home game in their fact book and north Texas state went ahead and just counted the fans that showed up at Fouts, but divided that number by 4 anyway

oh yes that makes complete and total sense

again north Texas state had 4 home games total that season, two of them were at Texas Stajium and two were at Fouts for a total of 4 home games and the TOTAL attendance for those 4 games was just over 79K and the average of those 4 games was under 20K

which means there was not 50K fans at any one of those single games even if you were giving away 55 gallon drums of KFC

perhaps you don't understand this is a fan forum for COLLEGE football where people have either been to college or they are going to college which with a few exceptions (such as yourself) means they are not a fool and they don't get fooled by clowns that pretend if the repeat their stupidity and lies often enough it will become true or that if they can ignore the truth punching them in the face so hard that is takes the snaggle out of their teeth it will somehow not be the truth

and anyone that actually still believes the BS that you and a few like you spew is just a fool as well so congratulations on convincing fools that north Texas state has ever averaged 30K fans or had 50K fans show up to see a north Texas state game because anyone else with an ounce of common sense just sees you as clueless and an imbecile

and those were not even neutral site games they were home games played at Texas Stajium in a desperate attempt to drum up more fan support

You still haven't answered my question. What's a stajium? And, holy hell that was just one sentence. I don't think that everyone on here is intelligent, you clearly have the brainpower of a dolt. I think you deserve the Razzie award for worst sentence ever.

Furthermore, I'm saying that there is an issue in how North Texas keeps their books, then.

Because http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/scho.../1977.html cites them as neutral and they get their information straight from the NCAA's official books.

Probably got escorted off campus after being fired for being a douchebag and now has a bone to pick. A bone that'll never heal. (He's an ex-professor now working at some random school in Tennessee.)

This thread reinforces every stereotype I have of Texas and why I don't like visiting my family in that state. *sigh*

That said, call that guy all the names in the book to associate him with bitter... but he's right! He even provided the games, the attendances on campus and neutral site, and the averages with/without. Plus links to read the information for yourselves. Bitter or not, he's correct in his statements.

As for the stajium reference, I can only assume he's poking fun at how people say stadium down in Dallas/North Texas area. *shrug* they say so many weird things in the south and particularly in Texas.

Of the 8 programs that joined the league 9-10 months ago, North Texas has impressed me the most. I think they have a great chance too emerge as a major force -- not just within C-USA but on the national landscape. Good for them that the Texas media is taking notice, and good luck in the future.
