I realize Ben will be a Senior, but James will be a Junior, and if he can handle the defensive side of the ball as well as shoot, he could be the sleeper at that position. I think Ben will be a valuable player for us this season, but if James has that star quality, he might just win the job.

But I figure that Steve will start Ben, no matter what, all things being equal. He's paid his dues and stayed with the program for four years. And is a very steady, if not great, player. Who knows. He might just take it to a new level this season. Can't hurt to have great depth. We know what injuries can do to a team.

Sure he could win it, but he would have to be VERY good, and he is not that much better as a shooter than Ben is. Ben knows the system and the defense, and makes very few mistakes.

No question Ben would have the advantage early on.
