I love the helmet, reminds me of the one Navy wore for the Navy-Army game. Not sure how I feel about the actual uniform though.

I hate the logo on the helmets. Everything else is fine.

I think the majority of people at least on this board preferred this logo over the state one.

Not a fan of that logo and yes that design reminds of navy helmet without anchor

Yup. I for one.

The ODU crown logo has been there from the beginning. It appears on our men's basketball uniforms. It is what identifies ODU sports. It is our brand logo. I'm glad they no longer use the "Miami Hurricane" stripes on the Jerseys however they still appear on the pants. We need 100% originality.

I like the uniform and the helmet.

What's up with the pants? Why aren't they being updated to match the new jerseys?

My beef was with the distinct Miami Hurricane stripes that dominated their uniforms over the years. It belongs to them.

Although I would like a 100% original design, I understand that could add cost to the uniform. We're not quite the Oregon of the east yet.

Anyway, the sleeve stripe is subtle enough and really doesn't dominate the uniform like the UM stripe did. I have no problem with it.

I think you may be right. I noticed that the numeral style matches that on our current helmets.

The more uniform options the better. Keep me' coming.

These are new and have technology built in to help limit and regulate head injuries

Do you know if these helmets are an NCAA mandate (not sure if they even do that) for all schools, or if they are still in the developmental and testing stage. I'm happy to see ODU being proactive in this area.

ODU is one of a handful of schools, maybe a half dozen? that are testing these this season. A coach on the sideline will have some sort of monitoring system that measures impact. Hoping to get more feedback on this.

While I was looking at the uniform the guy who has been posting the pics of the uniforms the last couple of years was standing there. He said the pants had not arrived yet. He said they will have two helmets this year. The one we saw yesterday and the the matte blue with the state logo. He said the pants will have a single stripe down the side made of mesh.
