Go SBC !!
It's pathetic that's whats wrong with the it. The real question is what's wrong with Arkie State. You can spin this anyways you want but in the end it's pretty said.
I think its a great idea. most spring games use local radio hosts and weather men as the coaches during spring games. this makes a hell of a lot more sense. I think the real problem is ASU has won three straight football championships and the best ULL could do was tie for one of those and that bothers you.
They sort of save their crazy for the tailgates and we trot ours out at random times.

When you get down to it football should be fun. Some fans seem to forget this and act like anything out of the ordinary is bad. Kind of like the crazy videos some schools do. They are mostly bad but done for fun and so many get so bent out of shape about them.

I like it too, it's just the spring game :). Truth be told, it will probably result in a more competitive game.
If memory serves, I think Tennessee let a fan call a play, and I know for sure Charlotte had fans try FGs.

Yeah well. When you consider caning each other, head butting, waving little pieces of rope, fondling skeletons, pouring jars of ditch water, dropping money from the ceilings, offering free chicken, calling pigs, people running around in animal (or plant) costumes, painting themselves and wearing silly wigs.
None of that is really that "dignified" is it? And most of it people don't write you a $12,000 check to be involved with.
We'll probably get over your disapproval.

With every post you make, you insure your idiocy is confirmed.
This is brilliant by StAte. Great publicity, as well as a fun event for the Spring Game.

And You, Jim Rome, and a few Razorback fans are the only one who have spoken against the idea.
The rest of us correctly understand that the Spring Game is a joke, and should be treated as something fun for fans to go to on an April Friday to stave off boredom.

Nahhhh, we would be concerned if people started thinking UAB was better than UL. That would be a problem.

Just for what its worth, 90 is a friend of mine, but we dont necessarily agree on this. I think its a great idea and I hope it raises some serious bucks for ASU!

He called it Lame at the very end, but only after he mentioned Arkansas State's football program about 30 X during the show When everybody else is saying its good, he has to bash it to be different.

So far you and Jim Rome hate it.
Positive reviews from ESPN, CBS, Yahoo Sports, and Fox.
Here's how silly and pathetic your position is.
MOST schools do this already. They do it at a private booster event. AState went public and great positive reviews except of course from you and Jim Rome.

Things work differently for the Cajuns than the rest of us. That's not a bad thing...its just how they market themselves. One thing I have always noticed about the Cajuns is that they market themselves a lot more like a P5 school. It starts with the name issue, it carries to the massive stadium expansion, and the talk of moving to another league. These guys dream of drawing 60K to their games.
At a school like ASU, we choose to market ourselves very differently from everyone else. We choose to take risks on one and done coaches, we choose to decrease stadium capacity in order to increase the stadium experience. We try gimmicks to encourage new fans to buy tickets.
There is nothing wrong with either philosophy. Its just two different ways to go about growing your program.
Decrease stadium capacity? Got that in writing?
You may end up surprised when the details of the press box renovation and north end zone changes come out.

When did you guys beat UAB?
As for beating us at our place. You sure did. Heck, Benson and Co were nice and even got the refs to help WKU beat us. All you had to do was win one of your last two and you have an outright title.
Instead, you crapped the bed. So you share. Them's the breaks.
