Warren Grounds out, and Hoelscher singles to CF. Serious white balance/contrast issues on the CF camera.

Play ball!

Warren first pitch ground. Ugh.
Hoelscher single up the middle. Runner on 1B, one out.
Cook infield single off P. Runners on 1B and 2B, two outs.
Ewing first pitch RBI single! 02-13-banana Runners on 1B and 3B, one out.
Teykl first pitch sac fly! 02-13-banana Line shot with a great catch by RF. We are hitting Leblanc hard.
Reeves flied out.
Nice start on very aggressive hitting.

Good guys take a 2-0 lead heading to the bottom of the first inning.

Sounds like their hitting groove from Austin may have been contagious. We can only hope!

RE: Rice @ Tulane (Friday Game 1)
Kevin gets two quick outs (strikeout, groundout), but then issues a 4-pitch walk (arghhhhhhhhhhh!) and grooves the next pitch for an RBI double in the gap. Then grooved an 0-2 pitch, but got saved by a diving catch by Cook in RF. Not a strong start for Kevin.

McDowell first pitch bomb #1! 02-13-banana That's how to answer back!
That's apparently only the 2nd HR hit at Turpin all season.
Aquino first pitch single!...and he advances to second on the throw.
Stainback ground out to 3B. Ugh-- situational hitting that was not.
Warren first pitch ground out to 2B. Runner on 3B, two outs.
Hoelscher walked on 3-2 pitch. Runners on corners, two outs.
Cook hit a texas leaguer, but a great diving catch by the RFer. Two runs would have scored if that got by him.

Good guys lead 3-1 heading to the bottom of the second inning.

RE: Rice @ Tulane (Friday Game 1)
1-2-3 inning for Kevin (strikeoutKK, line out, ground out).

Ewing leadoff single. Good start. Now let's capitalize.
Ewing advances on wild pitch. Runner on 2B, no outs.
Teykl strikes out on pitch off the plate. Again, our biggest problem-- you had to put the ball in play there; preferably to the right side. We simply do not know how to manufacture runs.
Reeves ground out to 2B, with Ewing advancing to 3B.
McDowell walked. Runners on 1B and 3B, two outs.
Aquino soft liner to 2B.
Wasted opportunity. We've already left 5 runners on base.

Good guys lead 3-1 heading to the bottom of the third inning.

Kevin starting to pound the strikezone-- another 1-2-3 inning (fly out, ground out, strikeoutKKK).

Stainback leadoff, first pitch bunt single! Now, let's execute.
Warren foul bunt is caught by 3B. Just awful...but deja vu all over again. Absolutely pathetic bunting by the Owls of late. Sorry, no other word for it...and it's killing us.
Hoelscher fouled out.
Cook flied out to LF.
Another wasted opportunity. I'm not sure if there is any other team worse at scoring their leadoff baserunner than Rice. Inefficient is an understatement. Can't bunt and can't situational hit.

Good guys lead 3-1 heading to the bottom of the fourth inning.

RE: Rice @ Tulane (Friday Game 1)
McCanna gives up a leadoff HR on 0-1 count, as our inefficiency on offense is allowing Tulane to hang around (though, admittedly, they have made a couple run-saving defensive plays).

Ewing first pitch ground out to SS.
Teykl ground out to 1B on 3-2 count.
Reeves struck out looking.
Ugh. We're letting LeBlanc get into a groove after having him on the ropes the first 3 innings.

Good guys lead 3-2 heading to the bottom of the fifth inning.

RE: Rice @ Tulane (Friday Game 1)
Quick 1-2-3 inning with the bottom of the Green Wave order (two strikeoutsKKKKK, ground out). Time to reignite some offense...

McDowell first pitch leadoff single! Can we finally capitalize on a leadoff baserunner?
Aquino fails to get the bunt down (!!!), then strikes out. Just embarrassing. The only way we score is if we string 3+ hits together.
Stainback flied out. Runner on 1B, two outs.
Warren ground out to 2B.
And once again, we waste a leadoff baserunner. Same old, same old.

Good guys lead 3-2 heading to the bottom of the sixth inning.
