I enjoy taking in prep football on Friday nights. Not this one.

I wonder if our Thursday night opener against the Blue Hose will be picked up by any of the networks.

Maybe MSNBC. Fox would pick it up if they were the Red Hose.

Eastern Seaboard Programming Network might, thinking there was an association with their beloved Red Sox.

As I state in the other thread, total BS to people that have already planned.

Moving to Friday nite will be a buzzkill for attendance not just from NIU's point of view either. ESPN won't be happy with a 2/3 empty stadium

I don't think this hurts UNLV's attendance, they are used to Friday night games.

So let me get this straight, you were going to go to Vegas if the game was on Saturday, but the fact it is being played Friday night means now all of a sudden you can't go?

The game wont be on ESPN, its on CBSSN.

It definitely wont be 2/3 empty...UNLV has had a better attendance average than NIU yet they have only been to 1 bowl game since 2001 where as we have been to 8 bowls including a BCS game.

Not sure if this was in regards to me or not.. but the reason i could make it Saturday because I was flying in on friday from Tampa(setting up a new office), but the earliest flight I can catch isn't til after 4pm which puts me in at 910pm(and I have to change planes in phoenix)..

But now with the game on friday, I will probably just fly home.
