One Week to Spring Signing for Men's Hoops
Lets recap we now may have upwards of 8 scholies and we have Bond, Wilson and Nobles so far. We've rehashed names over and over and here's what I think its uncommitted where EMU has been "mentioned":

Bingham-if it is between EMU and U of D, I don't see U of D being too interested at this point
the California point guard who while he has two offers doesn't seem thrilled about either EMU or Idaho St.-see his twitters
Joseph who has us and Southern Miss.
Albert-I think Missouri signed two other JUCO guards.
Dieng-has three offers, WMU scouting but no verification they offered.

Those are the only ones with offers that are out there publicly.

RE: One Week to Spring Signing for Men's Hoops
Rivals now has Joseph listed, but here's a new name who actually visited us in late March and we've offered:

http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/...one-156844

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/10568...-huge-dunk

https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0L...fp-t-901-1

Averaged 17 points and 8 rebounds at JUCO level.

Here's the JUCO All American Teams for each Div.:

http://www.njcaa.org/Teams/mbasketball/2...ricans.pdf

Albert made first team Div II All American.

Nazione made second team Div II All American

Gill (verbal to Ball St) made third team Div II All American.

Love to see Albert and Nazione on our team next year!

Dear Friends,
What's the scoop on his height? Those different articles give his height at anywhere from 6' 5" to 6'8". Now he may have grown a bit since high school, but a 3" discrepancy? Maybe the reporters aren't very particular in the statistics of height and weight.

Ross is transferring to Hartford (CT).

I suspect we'll know more about the signings towards the end of the signing period-it appears there a number of signees in flux.

Hopefully they'll announce as they sign.

WE SHOULD BE RECEIVING A LOT OF VISITATIONS DURING THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, HOPE WE SIGN THE RIGHT GUYS

I WOULDN'T BET AGAINST MURPHY AND CO SIGNING SOMEONE WE HAVEN'T HEARD ABOUT TO DATE, LIKE BONDS SIGNING FROM BALTIMORE. THIS RECRUITING SEASON COULD BE FULL OF SOME SURPRISES

Question Dennis

What have you heard on Darryl Bingham's status? He has multiple Div I offers.

He would be a solid pickup for next year.

HAVE HEARD VERY LITTLE, AS A PF CANDIDATE, HIS HEIGHT SCARES ME, I HAVE SEEN HIM LISTED ANYWHERE FROM 6'4 TO 6'6 BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD EARLY ON THAT HE IS A VERY AGGRESSIVE PLAYER, GOOD DEFENSE AND GOOD REBOUNDER. NOT IMPRESSED WITH HIS TWITTER ACCOUNT, A LOT OF SMUT.

HEARD EARLY ON THAT IT WAS BETWEEN UDM AND EMU BUT WHO KNOWS, GRADES COULD BE AN ISSUE

Well its between us and Idaho St. you should read his older tweet posts-it kinda sounds like he wants a better offer than us. I honestly want kids who are excited about being here where EMU is their first choice not their only choice. No doubt he has talent and I'll be glad if he signs, but will he be?

Cali is a long ways from home

P.S. I really like this kid, hope he commits. Wonder if he'll have some future teammates visiting that day as well - need some new blood on the roster

Obviously he wants a better offer. Who doesn't? I love my school as much as any faithful alum, but we aren't Kentucky or Duke. Kids dream of playing at schools like that. For him to want better offers than a mid major is quite normal. That doesn't mean he won't be happy here.

Cali kid hoping for a better offer? Hope he gets it - he's a transfer waiting to happen.

I mean, that seems a little bit over the top. How do any of us really know what a 17 year old high schooler is thinking ?

As evident by this offseason, you can never truly predict if a kid is or is not a flight risk. Did any of us REALLY know that Combs was looking elsewhere ? No, we didnt. So to say you don't want a kid based on a random presumption seems a little unfair.

And last I checked, we need some bodies desperately.
