Black Bear?
Well, I'm fairly sure I saw a young black bear tonight. I was outside Paris, TN on a isolated stretch of highway.

Having grown up with a family farm in rural West TN, I've seen and heard evidence of a lot of uncommon wildlife.

I've seen a lot of wildlife on the road, but this wasn't like anything I've ever seen. It was a black, furry creature that ran like a bear and looked like a bear.

RE: Black Bear?
I heard tales of black bear in Hatchie River Bottom, but that was years ago (like maybe 40 or so years). Haven't heard anything lately but I certainly wouldn't discount it.

I have absolutely no doubt you saw a bear.

Could it have been a Land Shark?

He might have seen fins on the left but not on the right.

RE: Black Bear?
It was close to a hog farm, so I've naturally reached the conclusion it was a manbearpig.

How do you know it was a football player? Could have been one of their cheerleaders.

RE: Black Bear?
Had one in my tree in Lakeland about 3 years ago. Middle of the night. Wildlife agency had to tranquilize it to get it out of the tree. Wild night.
