UAB Snatch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory
UAB intercepts the ball near the goal line--all the UAB player had to do was fall down, instead he runs and fumbles the ball. Rice gets the ball back with about 20 seconds and scores to win by a point in front of 4,000 fans.

CUSA Ball is interesting

Make that 10,000.

Who would win, UAB or UConn?

I saw that as well, I switched to that game on CSTV after UF lost on ESPN.

The game did have a small time feel but the end was certainly action packed! Guyton intercepted the pass with about 20 seconds left and literally just drops it before a Rice offensive player even touched him. He'll be feeling great this week I'm sure.

I'd take UConn but neither team is good enough to ensure a victory. CUSA's problem there is that UConn is projected last in the BE while UAB came in leading a CUSA division tonight.

obsessed with cusa
A thread about UAB? On the Big East board? Why? Isn't that what the CUSA board is for?

This is the problem. People complain about CUSA fans yet start threads about their teams.

Why are you so obsessed with CUSA Texan Mark? You're always posting on their board.

There is plenty of Syracuse stuff for you to talk about without causing them to come here.

Lolly

I'm a Syracuse fan first but a college fan second and it was an exciting finish. Rice seems to have found a QB--they just need consistency.

BTW, who are you a fan of Lolly?

Nebraska did the same thing against Texas Tech last season.... ugh

To make matters worse, it was a 4th down play that the INT took place on but once the Husker defensive lineman that caught the tipped pass started running with it, it was considered a change of possession. Thus after the fumble TT got a first down.

We're talking the future of the Eastern 10 all sports league here. The current Big East 8 plus UAB to solidify the Birmingham bowl so no one takes it, and Rice to solidify the Texas Bowl so no other conference takes it. :shhh: 07-coffee3

CUSA Ball is interesting

The same thing happened last year when a Nebraska player intercepted and then fumbled the ball and the game away in the last seconds against Texas Tech. If I were a coach I would show my team these boneheads as examples. However, even though I can't remember the game, this past weekend another kid had a chance to mess up in the same way but he fell straight to the ground and his team took a knee to end the game.

Take a chill pill, dude. Have you ever heard of freedom of speech? My complaint is with people who complain about so called "trolls". I thought Texan Mark's post was interesting, but even if I didn't I would defend his right to post it.

Let's not try to make this into a my team, your team, kind of thing Texan Mark. The only reason I asked you this is because I read the CUSA board just like a lot of other Big East fans. I also read the MAC board since it's active. But I try to refrain from making comments that might come off as smack to their fans.

All my point was is that a lot of Big East fans complain about CUSA fans always being over here but some of us post stuff on their board, or start threads about them over here, that they might interpret as disrespectful. Both things give them excuses to come over here and start trouble. That is all I was saying.

The concept of this BBS is too encourage cross conference talk...I use the smack board on CUSA for fun. I post normal stuff on both the CUSA and Big East regular boards.

I'll respect you if you tell us who you root for...until then you're suspect.
