RE: Resuming series with UAB?
The best CUSA game would be USM. Even so, I'd rather not play them H & H. Even Ole Miss is not a good H & H series except for FB considerations. I'd rather get some power 5 schools in here if it has to be H & H, preferably B12, BIG & Pac schools

No home and homes with any CUSA team. Good lord do we want to be an 8 seed forever?

I'll happily play them over Austin Peay or SEMO, but not home and home.

From the UAB board for those interested enough to wade through.

If were gonna schedule a CUSA team let's get La Tech. Their rpi is probably better anyway.

Wait, somebody is seriously considering this? What a horrible idea! I thought it was a joke, but if Pastner or anybody else is trying to get this done then they are clearly not thinking clearly.

I'm not sure I believe it either. Pastner doesn't seem like the type to schedule a goodwill series with anyone outside a few local colleges. UAB delivers nothing back from a home-home. Miserable football, mediocre basketball at this point, no real recruiting access, nor good football to supplement the football schedule. Makes literally no sense at all.

It was just a couple of years ago that these schools voted to "punish" Memphis by moving the tournament to Tulsa.

Let 'em rot.

I agree. USM though would be good If we need something OOC.

With our improved competition level we might want an extra tomato-can.

If the only source is the UAB message board then I wouldn't worry too much about it yet.
