Bearcats finished 22nd in the final college basketball coach's poll!

That's about right in my opinion. Another very successful year to hopefully build on next season. Sooner or later they have to make that defining run to at least the Elite 8...why not in 2014-15?

I had two windows open and posted that in the wrong one. My bad.

Honestly, we COULD have more scorers, we COULD have less (which is incredibly troubling). Literally the only people who know that is the coaching staff. I think Troy and Kevin could be a very good guard rotation as far as points, assists and steals go, and I really think SK negatively impacted their progression this year and affected their timidity in the closing weeks of the year, so maybe now that he's gone there will be a better distribution of points.

Awesome! 22, and zero wins in the only thing that matters, the tourney, sorry for all who believe differently, if u do not believe that the perception of a bball team is how they perform in the ncaa tourney, well IMHO u have ur head in the sand

I would say "lowered expectations" more than fan apathy. We actually have a bunch of guys on this board who have commented "the tournament is icing on the cake".

Next year might be rough. Lots of guys with little experience. But the following season could be something truly special. Mick has to coach up the offensive side of the court though, it would seem we have a larger collection of guys who have a higher scoring acumen than in years past.

Decent season. Need to win games in March. Hope Mick starts to recruit more scrorers and not just athletes.

This season: Zzzzzzzzz.......

Wake me up when a) we win meaningful post-season games b) we bring in guys who are familiar with the concept of putting the ball in the hoop c) we get an offensive coordinator, or something.

Other than the Huggs fallout years, this season is much like every other Bearcat year for the past ~20 years. Good regular season, flamed out post-season.

You can't be a great coach if you can only coach 1/2 of the game you're coaching in.
