Notre Dame and Georgia in discussions about a possible 2018/19 home/home series.
The possible game at Notre Dame would be Georgia's first north of the Mason-Dixon line since 1965.

That year, Georgia traveled to Ann Arbor to play Michigan. That is the last game they have played outside of the South ....since.

If the deal is finalized, ND will be playing Texas, Georgia, Southern Cal, Stanford and (per the ACC agreement), probable games against a combination of ACC schools like FSU, Miami, Clemson and/or Virginia Tech in 2019.

That is the type of schedule that would get the playoff committee's attention.

I hope this series gets scheduled. I would like to see ND schedule more home/home series with SEC schools.

You mean OOC wise, they did play at Missouri.

In 2018 or 2019? That is one heck of a crystal ball you have there.

What are next week's Powerball numbers? :)

I believe Delaware is officially "north" of the M-D line, which ran north-south at the MD border.

Let's hope the game is held in a November snowstorm.

You mean football weather? I sure hope so!

I think that every football game should be played in that environment, but I grew up near Pittsburgh.

My favorite games to attend have always been cold, blustery, windy, snow games.

Just bundle up, make sure you have plenty of anti-freeze to drink and have a blast.

On TV I prefer to watch games like that to attend them, screw that. I was at a Chiefs game that -12. Been to other snow games, not the most pleasant environment.

We don't go up there to just play anybody.
04-cheers

I'm having found memories of Hershel playing with a dislocated shoulder in the second half after having it popped back into place at halftime and leading us to victory.

Not very accurate. Georgia hasn't played in the NORTH since. They played at Arizona St., Oklahoma St. and Colorado in 3 consecutive years 2008-2010.

1. The Mason Dixon line is the MD border. If you are going to use it to define North and South from a Civil War perspective fine, but it would not extend beyond the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.

2. In not geographic reality is Colorado, whom UGA played in 2010, in the south.
