stAte and WKU should continue to play home and home in basketball. Have you not noticed how difficult it is to get a P5 school to play you at home arena? College basketball has become ridiculously controlled by money.

The primary reason stAte's BB attentance sucks is because we don't play quality competition at home anymore, so we don't even get the chance to generate the illusion that we are competitive nationally.

So - WKU and stAte should play home and home every year - it would help both basketball programs.

If we don't continue to play in men's basketball, WKU is dead to me.

Now beat those P5 schools this fall

Some WKU fans have severely tested my patience in the last 6 months by turning into the puffed up CUSA fans whose silliness they used laugh at.

But that's not all of you, and based on your previous sanity, hopefully not a new permanent affliction.

That said, WKU in every sport but football was an SBC member you knew you were going to get a game out of. A situation that has been remarkably consistent over the years. An athletic program to be proud of.

In football the history has been short and the initial transition was a short sharp shock. But it turned out to be a noteworthy transition and smartly done. It didn't take long to get to the point where, once again, you knew you were absolutely going to get a game.

I think we were about to have a real honest to goodness non-manufactured football rivalry between stAte and WKU. What might have been.

Best of luck.

Helps us more than them. Outside of UALR, WKU was our biggest draw for basketball. Losing the Toppers could expose how bad our basketball attendance really is, and might force people in our administration to consider changes.

On second thought...we shouldn't play WKU anymore.
