Friday 3pm regional match-up vs this guy would be tough.

Is the goal of this projection to make sure one and only one team from Texas goes to the CWS?

Sign me up, assuming that Rice doesn't host.

+1. I'd think our guys would love such an all-Texas (mostly Houston) regional...and I'm equally sure UH would be ready to kill the Selection Committee if such a regional were to happen.

That would be a major screw job to UH. First, they don't get the national seed (I think they're the better team, but I haven't seen the teams play very much). Second, that's as tough a regional as I can remember, opposed against a relatively easy regional in Austin.

Amazing how UH have played just 8 road games so far this season, including just one road series (last week at Rutgers). They get Louisville at home this weekend, while we get Tulane on the road. Come Monday we would have played 16 road games-- twice as many as the Coogs-- and four road series (vs. only one for the Coogs). You better believe this factors into both W-L record and a team's overall fatigue factor.

Good points. Remaining road series could be an indicator of how the teams finish down the stretch (assuming they both play to their potential).
