It can't be repealed by a simple majority in the senate. The earliest a repeal bill would have a change of going through both houses and be placed on the President's desk and signed would be some time in2017.

Why couldn't a republican president just do the executive order things his first day in office in 2017 and bypass Congress all together? If Obama can change the law over 30 times then surely another president can change it once.

You will just have to read up on you constitutional law. The executive branch has the authority is make adjustments in order to carry out the law. It doesn't have authority to repeal it.

Because the 20+ million Americans that will already be on Obamacare by the 2016 elections will ensure that a Republican that advocates changes from a means based solution to healthcare will not be elected. My prediction is that by 2016, there will be 20-25 million Americans on Obamacare. And about half of them will be normal Republican voters. My guess is they, like I, will be very happy with their coverage. You do the math.

You might take the Senate in 2014. But this is going to quickly turn around on you guys.

there are plenty of bombs yet to go off, and the cancellations aren't over yet. This law hasn't found bottom yet in terms of public disapproval.

Seriously bro, do you live in FantasyLand? Because none of what you post will ever come to fruition. NONE! Nearly 2/3rds of Americans want this law repealed. But, since you're part of the 1/3rd who like the law, you'll just pull some nonsense out of your a$$ to dismiss me.

It will get really interesting when those 20-25 million find out--along with everyone else--that health insurance is not health CARE.

The difference between your expectations and mine are that you expect that quality health care will somehow be available on a timely basis to anyone who has health insurance. I don't. I am quite certain that, for at least the 85% or so of us who had health insurance before Obamacare, the net effect will be paying more to wait longer for worse care. Democrats are clearly hoping that they can phase this in slowly enough that nobody notices that their health CARE went to crap. It'll be interesting to see if they are clever enough to pull off their deception.

Or go online a check a blue box. or just ignore the whole damn thing. It's not like this is going to be enforced anytime soon.

This law is becoming a joke.

It's going to be awesome to watch all these right-wing losers fall into line when their political masters pivot away from repeal.

Just like I've fallen in line behind Boehner not having the balls to balance the budget or cut anything right?

You say that as most democrats distance themselves from Obama, Obamacare, and prepare to lose the senate in a few months. Embrace the suck.
