Carlin solves the Texas recruiting concern. Period.
Number 1, because he has sufficient Texas contacts.
Number 2, because he can recruit anywhere.
Number 3, because he is one helluva great guy who is a huge asset to any program for any number of reasons.
I am hard pressed to imagine a better hire in that position.
