There will more than likely be 800-1000 people in a parking lot on Stratford for at least two days this week. They happen, they're just a lot more sparse.

Tournament history sux. Everyone has a right to be dissapointed. I do disagree with comparisons as to what Bob did. He at least had some players and was rebuilding in the metro or great midwest or whatever conference that was. Mick had Ronald Allen and Cedric Mcgowan. And he did it in the Big East- the biggest baddest muther effer in the history of basketball. It would have been easy for this team to slip into relative obscurity such as- Auburn? Illinois?

And so if we were middle of the pack in the Big East- that translates into what? Our worst team in the last three years is a conference champ in the American. I'd say Mick has done a helluva job given what he has to work with.

And that leaves us with recruiting- which has to get better if we are to get deeper in the tourney, because I have no doubt Mick can coach em up. And I believe that recruiting is improving, if incrementally. Would like it to happen sooner, but it is what it is. I believe the next 3-4 years will be very favorable to Uc bball, and i expect some better success in the tourney.

But I feel your pain.

Is there any video online of the Cinco De Stratford parties of 2002 and 2003...lived on Lyon street back then and those parties had thousands of people out on the streets. The damage caused by the drunk UC students was asinine but the parties were fun until they got out of hand.

One story stated the crowd suddenly grew after the end of the UK basketball game :)
