UConn, Louisville, Cincinnati & Memphis earned the American $17.6 Million...
In this year NCAA Tournament:

What's impressive about the SEC's showing is that only three of its schools made the tournament, with Tennessee reaching the Sweet 16 and Kentucky and Florida making it to the Final Four. A lackluster showing by the ACC, which saw none of its teams make it past the Sweet 16, and a surprising run by UConn, gave the ACC and American Athletic Conference 11 shares each that will be worth about $17.6 million in the next six years.

Basketball and the fact that the AAC from top to bottom in Football along with the ESPN Exposure will separate itself somewhat from the MWC.

Anybody know the tally on what the MWC and AAC earned (football/basketball/TV) this year? I know some of it is spread over a number of years but you can still compare what will be spread. Would be interesting to see how 2013-14 fared for both conferences.

With the Fiesta Bowl and the Basketball Credits it should not even be close...the MWC has now gone 2 years without a BCS Bowl Bid...going into this year it appears the AAC has 4 schools with legit shots at earning the Access Slot in Houston, ECU, UCF and Cincinnati...Boise is going through a Coaching Change and Fresno lost their Record setting QB....07-coffee3

The access bowl will be rough unless they weight the OOC games. Many of the G5 can run thru conference unbeaten (tough, but not impossible). We have 4 teams, the MWC at least 3 and the others several more. I hope one of our guys can do it.

Marshall has the weakest schedule I've seen in years... should easily be undefeated going into CUSA championship. That said, they have made some major missteps on the road. I think SOS is going to be the difference in the Access bowl.

I'm so excited to join this conference. Even though the American is losing a legit major program in Louisville, the conference is in good shape in the major sports. Look at UCF's performance in football and UCONN's performance in basketball.
