Marshall Basketball Update
Moten (from North Carolina Central) is still in the mix for the HC job per the Huntington papers, but no decisions have been made.
The OOC schedule looks decidedly better next year: Home games with South Carolina (137), Penn State (111), Jacksonville State (316), Morehead State (139), Savannah State (275) and Cleveland State (91). Road games with Nevada (138), Arkansas State (181) and Akron (94), so far.
Now, if we had a coach and last year's youth starts to mature, things might improve some. I do like the direction, though.

Don't forget that we also have a road game at Louisville next year.

No one is for sure, but other than Mike D'antoni( very long shot), I would put John Pelphrey in the mix( not impressed by him), Jeff Neubauer( not too much proven success) would probably be a candidate, also Jeff Boils from OSU might still be in the running.
At this point, Moton seems to me like the best candidate. I liked Keatts before, bit he is sadly out of the race. Motion seems to be a teacher of the game and puts emphasis on the fundamentals. A lot of people have good things to say about him ( Coack K, Roy Williams, plus many NBA players). The guy is a proven winner at all levels he has coached so far, so unless its his decision not to coach at MU, we should not pick anyone else. Plus he contributes to the community a great amount. Idk, just my 2 cents.

The job is obviously Mike D'Antoni's if he wants it and is available. The next best choice would be Jim Crutchfield at West Liberty University. No one knows how serious either side is about this, but if he is interested we would be CRAZY not to take him imo.
After that I lose a lot of interest. Especially hearing guys like Pelphrey who have already been fired at previous HC jobs.
