RE: A bit of RB talk from HuskieWire.....
We went from being in a real tough situation at RB last year at times to having insane talent and depth this year. With our line and this core and throw in any of the 3 qb's who are enough of a running threat.
Throw in the diverse skill of the jocks outside to stretch the field laterally and vertically. Unless all 3 of these qb's are incompetent I don't see how we don't just continue to score points at will.

Spencer did some great things at the end of last year. I'd hate to see him left out of the rotation but the position seems stacked.

That's a really good point. Really good.

RE: A bit of RB talk from HuskieWire.....
Honestly, I haven't seen a better RB situation for a team in the MAC. That is considering the depth. None of these guys are Turner, Wolfe, or Archer. But the combo of a power back that was All-MAC, one of the most versatile players in the entire conference in Daniels, two speedsters in KHJ and Huff, and then you get a little bit of everything from Bouganon, Smith, and Spencer.
All of them except for Stingily can catch the ball out of the backfield. How does a team put together a game plan to take away the combo of Stingily and Daniels together? I don't see it happening. One dude breaks a minimum of a tackle a carry and the other one scores TDs every 8-9 touches. This is a great situation, especially since QB is unproven.

Or both. If Cam, Akeem, Harris, Spencer, and Huff are all healthy, why waste a year of elegibility on guys who may never see the field.

With a new QB taking control of the offense who doesn't have the run skills of Lynch(few QB's do) wouldn't it make sense to at least occasionaly have a 2 back set. MAC defenses have got so used to defending against the pass because most teams are using a 1 back set exclusively that employing 2 backs will cause D coordinators to rethink their scheme and lead to D substitution issues for opponents.

Both? Who is the other that you are thinking of?
I was not talking about the incomming FR...I meant of the guys that were on the team last year who have not taken a RS year.
I think KHJ is too valuable to RS...UNLESS he is not 100% coming back from his injury.

I wouldn't be surprised to see smith and bougnoan redshirted. Both would most likely have been last season if not for all of the injuries
