Non-conf bball schedule next year - any opponents known?
It seems like there is usually someone that always knows of 3 or 4 games we are locked into next season, just wondering if anyone knows of teams that are locked in to come to DeKalb next season?

I'd figure that some of the teams we played last year are home and homes games, so like Riverside Loyola and UMass might be at home.

I figure we will have a bit more away games next year due to the fact that we had a lot of home games this year, and the away ones were against teams that wouldn't want to come here like ISU.

We played UMASS 2 seasons ago at home. Also their contract agreement with the MAC is over.

Too bad we didn't have a more attractive home schedule, there could have been a lot of hype going into next year.

Aren't there still have 4 more games yet to be announced?

There probably are 4 home games not listed. There already is hype for next year. They won 15 games, people will not be shocked when they win 20. The bar is set at a min of 16 wins.

I completely agree, it just would be nice to have one semi-exciting game to add on top of the higher expectations. I just think we need that one exciting night of Huskie bball to suck in and hook the students. If not in the non-conf, I think that moment could be coming when UT visits DeKalb. I hope that's on a Saturday evening.

I think that's what this past season was about. Sometimes you need that little impetus to really get the ball rolling though.

Yea, the team is done crawling. If Dontel didn't get hurt they would've been walking and running a little. This coming season they will be sprinting, hopping on one leg and doing cartwheels. Good times ahead!

Glad to see the game in South Bend! I'll definitely be going to that one given its about a 40 minute drive for me.

Interesting read, thanks! Toledo @ NIU should hopefully be the most energetic and rowdy home atmosphere we have had at the Convo to date (for college basketball). Sounds like this Applewhite walks on water.

Toledo is the pre-season team to beat. I like the huskies chances since we beat them this year. Also, NIU will do very well against the rest of the MAC.

The only thing I kind of wonder about is their comment about "significant improvement" with Toledo. I think sustaining their current level is more likely than significant improvement.
