I can't make any definitive predictions, but here's how I view Michigan's chances in each game:

Miami OH - 95%
@Notre Dame - 75%
San Diego State - 95%
Iowa - 85%
@Indiana - 100%
Minnesota - 80%
@Illinois - 95%
@Purdue - 75%
Michigan State - 90%
Northwestern - 95%
@Ohio State - 60%

Total - 945 / 1100..... simplified to 189 / 220..... 189 - 31 is about 9-2

I think UM goes 10-1, but I don't know who the loss will be to.

Having reviewed the above predictions for the 2004 Michigan Wolverine season, I would first note that it is generally a mistake to predict that Michigan will lose to either MSU or OSU. Certainly, both teams have upset the Wolverines in the past, but neither are likely to do so this year.

Here is my prediction for the Wolverines this year:

S. 04 vs Miami(OH) - Win
S. 11 at Notre Dame - Win (Irish get dismantled again ... this time in front of the faithful at home)
S. 18 vs San Diego State - Win (SDSU will play well in the Big House -- they almost beat OSU in 03)
S. 25 vs Iowa - Win (Hawkeyes will give the Wolverines a run for their money but come up short)
O. 02 at Indiana - Win
O. 09 vs Minnesota - Win (Gophers are one of the MOST underrated teams in the Big Ten)
O. 16 at Illinois - Win
O. 23 at Purdue - Win
O. 30 vs Michigan State Win (without Spartan Bob's thumb on the clock, Spartans lose)
N. 13 vs Northwestern - Win
N. 20 at Ohio State - Win (another classic game in this, the greatest rivalry in college football)

11-0 ... and right in the middle of the hunt for the National Championship again. :)

Go Blue!

You can't beat Michigan (esp not in the Big House where MSU has not won since when??????) if all the following is true:

1. New QB
2. No running game
3. bad run D

Those, of course, are all attributes of MSU next year.

Michigan is just going to manhandle MSU this year.

omg, GoState!, referring to Michigan as "scUM"?

I wonder what new names we can come up for MSU after the Wolverines dismantle the Spartans again this year? :ownd:

Hmmm, going to need to put on my thinking cap here. :laugh:

My, my, my, methinks Spartan05 is in desperate need of a history lesson on the Michigan v. Michigan State football rivalry.

Michigan has played MSU a total of 96 times.

The first game was in 1898, the last in 2003.

Michigan has won 62 of those games. (yes, 62 games!)

MSU has won 28 games. :bang:

And there have been 5 ties.

That is a Wolverine winning percentage of 61+%. (Yes, I know, it is impressive.)

As for MSU keeping it close ... hmmmm, I was in the Big House in Ann Arbor in 2002 when ... gee, let me see ... the score was Michigan 49 ... Michigan State 3.

Just in case you have forgotten that Wolverine dismantling of the entire Spartan team, here you go! :D (Please be sure not to overlook the total rushing yards for the Spartans.)

(Note: GoState!, while I have edited this history lesson post to respond directly to Spartan05 who, as stated above, appears to be in desperate need of it, I suspect that you would likewise benefit from it as well. :D All I can say is, there are going to be some very interesting posts on this forum AFTER the Michigan/Michigan State game this year.)

Look at my pics for the season...do your research then respond

One thing for certain is that MSU has lots of names:

Moo University
Barnyard A&M
Cow State
Silo Institute of Technology
The Michigan State University of Agriculture and Applies Science
Animal Husbandry U
