I think EVERYONE intelligent agrees that unprotected sex is wrong when one person has HIV. Even worse is failing to disclose.

But with medication and protection the risk can drop to near zero.
I'm sure it can. I guess my thought process and it might be a bit backwoods is, I wouldn't want to put myself in that position.

Not backwoods at all. I find myself in the same opinion. I PERSONALLY would choose not to engage in it unless the risk % was ZERO. .01% still makes me nervous. What bothers me is Paul wanting to control other people's adult choices w/ their own bodies.

Very unrepublican of him really. OR rather.... VERY republican of him.

Hang on a sec, let me go back and read my posts.

Ok, I'm back. Yeah, um, no, I've said no such thing.

THERE IS PROTECTION AND PREVENTATIVE MEDICATION YOU DOLT. Are we now expecting to reduce any and all STI victims to a life of celibacy?

NOT FULL PROOF GENIUS.

Yes, it's up to those involved if they want to take risks. But anyone who lies about the risks is despicable. Trying to convince someone that with drugs and condoms they're safe is a lie.

Near zero wouldn't be good enough for me.

Now you're back tracking. At first you said no one should.... now you say it's their choice? Which is it?
Any and every time you have sex you put yourself at risk for a multitude of diseases/infections. Ever hear the herpes stats?

So thank you for informing us all you're one big ole virgin Paul. Or a hypocrite. You get to pick :)

Jeez, can you understand words? No backtracking. No one should. Their choice. No conflict there.

Untrue. I have zero-risk sex about 5-7 times per week.

Quote:Three gay men sickened from meningitis in L.A. County have died, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health said Thursday.

The department announced earlier this week that there have been eight cases of invasive meningococcal disease in the county so far this year. Four cases occurred in men who have sex with men. On Thursday, officials said three of them had died, officials said. The victims were 27 or 28.

Some of those sickened lived or socialized in West Hollywood and North Hollywood, officials said.

The county will provide free vaccinations for patients without health insurance, starting Thursday. Those interested can call 211 or visit the department's website to get a listing of provider clinics.

Invasive meningococcal disease stems from a rare bacterial infection that can spread to the blood, brain or spinal cord and can affect the entire body -- sometimes causing death.

It is spread by close exposure to sneezing or coughing or direct contact with saliva or nose mucus -- though it's less contagious than influenza, the health department said.

Activities associated with risk for the illness include smoking, close contact with an infected person such as kissing or sharing beverages or cigarettes, and living in group settings for prolonged periods.

I wonder how long it will be before the left uses this as another excuse to try to make people stop smoking cigarettes, while promoting the legalization of marijuana.

Medication? The ONLY risk free sex for a hetero is a condom. Since the anus isn't a self lubricating organ like the vulva, friction could tear a hole in the condom easily. Plus, without the risk of pregnancy on hand, two men wouldn't see the need for condoms, especially if they are in a relationship.

I don't think you know what 'risk free' means if you think that heterosexual sex using a condom is risk free.

All sex carries a risk of transmitting diseases, certain types more than others, but you should leave the medical statements to those who have a basic understanding of physiology and immunology.

Yeah. The stats MTV and affiliates come up with are bogus... Truth.org is bogus, they just go find the person that it affected the most and use them to their own advantage. If people feel the need to biitch about cigarettes then they need to do the same for alcohol and especially marijuana.

Well unless it busts or you transfuse your blood together, what's the risk? Does the bold section refer to you?
