RE: GA will like this...consistency in the colors
So sweat the small stuff? Btw I loved that gray we wore in the glory days of the early 70s. We looked like Ole Miss stepchild on the football field. Thanks y'all have made my point. But the Gray dude blames Winn and Calipari when it's been screwed for 50 years. Thanks for making my point.

Exactly. Nevermind that it's the same shade of blue when it we were wearing Adidas.

I don't buy it and I bet GA doesn't either. I smell an artistic conspiracy of the highest design.
FSU was relevant and then people started taking leeway with the colors. School is smart to reign it back in and create a consistent image for the uniforms.

They didn't change their name from Auburn State either. Fwiw I wish we'd wear gray more. Maybe since we one an NCAA tourney game wearing them our superstitious coach will let us wear them more.
1960 Alabama Polytechnic Institute. Changed name to Auburn Univ.
Memphis State College Changed to Memphis State University (1957).
We were Memphis State Univeristy before API was officially Auburn Univ.
Auburn has been the same navy blue and burnt orange all those years.
We have been navy blue and orange, gray, white, navy blue and gray, royal blue, etc. On helmets, M, Tigers, seatleseahawk tiger, gray with M, blue with M, white with MSU, blue navy with MSU, gray with MSU Tiger with no M, etc. Now this collection of silly **** chrome stuff.
No identity.
MSC, MSU, UM.... college names change. just get the damn colors right and stick with them. its that freaking simple.
Consistency matters. GA is and has been right.
the simplest damn things.
Exactly. See my sig.

Not true. I only blame Winn and Calipari for the CURRENT especially light Nike blue and replacing gray with black. Those tendencies have NOT been around for 50 years. Moreover, it was only in the last 20 years that UofM has had an official brand standard to follow. Calipari stated flatly when he first arrived that he didn't like the new official shade of blue (PMS 280) or gray or our logo (said it looked "high schoolish"). Furthermore, a friend of mine told me that Winn once told her that he was "tired of gray".
Bottom line, how long it has been going on and who's to blame don't matter. The important thing is to recognize the problem and correct it.
