Agree. Since the FEF was designed for hoops, the seating bowl wraps snug around a basketball court, bringing all seats closer with better sight lines, especially the upper deck. My season tix for the Tigers is 215, upper deck end. While I'll never mistake my seats for courtside or even lowers, they are considerably better than similar seats in comparable arenas built with a hockey rink in mind. My same seats in the Nashville Arena would be much farther from the court since that arena was built for hockey.

The Pyramid just made you angry...drab, prisonlike. So people came in with a hard attitude. Plus, tall folks and fatsos couldn't sit, so people were forced to stand a lot more. Made for a better atmosphere.

Folks get soft in the FEF with their lounges, cupholders and ample seating.

It gets plenty loud at the right times. Although there are one or two jackasses that will go tell the security guy when you dare stand and cheer during an exciting play in a one point game. I'm talking to you grumpy guy in section 112.
