Exclamation Marshall and ECU Football News
According to our AD Mike Hamrick Marshall and ECU have signed a home and home deal for 2020 and 2021. Game is at Greenville in 2020 and Huntington in 2021. The game in 2020 is on the 50th anniversary of the crash.

Good... I like Marshall and hoped that we would play every few years, home and away.

Wow. Time sure is passing fast. I was at the anniversary game in Huntington in 2005. Quite an emotional event and was treated beyond superbly by Marshall fans.

RE: Marshall and ECU Football News
So one thread is total trash talking and this one is congratulating the two schools. Thank you ECU fans in this thread for being polite as I am excited about this as I want to live in Charlotte by 2019. So I would be able to see Marshall play.

RE: Marshall and ECU Football News
The only reason im a little upset is because our administration is making undesirable moves ooc ( like the FL game, losing games with wv and others giving us the run around). If we could've kept some other OOC games to compliment Marshall it would make for a better all around schedule. 2020 looks like a good OOC line up, I just worry we wont have anyone else whos a good fit when we play @ Marshall. I like the idea of 2 P5, 1G5 (all home and.home) and an fcs.

Glad to see this series happen. I hope we can get a similar deal done with Southern Miss for 2022-23.

RE: Marshall and ECU Football News
The one game I don't like is NC Central. I don't mind the UF game as long as it's the only one and done we do for 10 years. With the 50th anniversary of the crash I understand the Marshall game. I knew WVU was getting cold feet, removed most of the games from their site months ago. But, there are other things that got me wanting JC gone soon.

RE: Marshall and ECU Football News
You need games like NC Central if you're going to over schedule with three Power 5 teams a year.

And usually pretty good Power 5 teams at that.

And I will assume they would bring a decent number. Or they SHOULD.

No offense to Marshall, but I don't like it. With that said Marshall could be in the tank six years down the road and God knows what the conference landscape will look like, but right now I don't like it. I would be perfectly happy never playing Marshall again...even with that last pile of dog shite showing it ended on.

RE: Marshall and ECU Football News
I know there is some trolling between Marshall and ECU fans on this message board, but my in-stadium experience with Marshall fans could not be any better, and my seats are on the fringes of the visitors' section. I have never had any sort of problem with the average Marshall fan that shows up in Greenville; in fact, quite the opposite. Great folks to tailgate with and talk football with.

Every Marshall fan I've met has been very courteous. Honestly I've only talked to a few opposing fans that weren't regional opponents. Including visiting fraternity brothers from UCF and a very nice family from UAB (and Navy fans, but they're somewhat close).

Also met some rowdy ODU kids this past year..I didn't hold it against them though. Would've liked to meet some fans from other schools but never got to.

Didn't do some basic research and killed the discount on season tickets for active duty Military members, with the number of base that surround us and our connection to the the Military here in the east. Stopping the tickets for troop for the Military appreciation day. The J Leno chin logo, which the reasons given for some of the changes are pure BS. The teeth could be reproduced on embroidered items, like the new is any better, talked to one of the guys at UBE, he said they can do okay, but the new is just as hard. The entrance video, sure the cartoon need to go, but I'd rather have it than the new one with 80's woo woo thing that KSU and 100's of other have done. And, his my way or the highway attitude has drive some good people off already and making some want to leave. Also, no idea seems to be good unless it's their idea.

Akron, Happy Appy, ODU, Charlotte are a lot better choices than Central, might as well play JH Rose High School just 2 miles away.

If this board wasn't on Tapatalk I wouldn't even read/post there. Don't have much time anymore with my record label picking up steam.
