Not good publicity here:

Also ... Valhalla ordered to clean storage room.

Love the ending, though ... a hat tip to the incomparable Marvin Zindler, Eye-wit-ness News:

A bit of Rice trivia - sometime in the late '60s Marvin Zindler appeared as the featured twirler with the Rice Band at halftime of a football game. And yes, he could really handle the batons.

That was at the beginning of the imfamous Aggie-game halftime show on Nov. 17, 1973. Here's a link to the MOB script: http://mob.rice.edu/history/scripts/197311170

There's a brief glimpse of Marvin's twirling (with the TSU band) near the end of this 1985 Houston promotional ad:

Then Marvin must have appeared at least twice, because 1971 was my last year. The time I'm thinking of was definitely in the late '60s.

I thought of Marvin Zindler when I saw this thread. Specifically, I thought "Slime in the ice machine!"

He appeared with the MOB in the '90s. I forget which year.

Wonder if this could become a self-depreciating theme for a MOB show ?
