Toward that end, he’s whittled down a previously announced series with East Carolina and is finalizing a neutral-site game against Tennessee in Charlotte, N.C."

The two signed to play for several years home and home. Then WV began to change their minds (Maybe 9 game B12 schedule)and only wanted home buy games (hell no) or move our home games to charlotte (another hell no) So both parties appeared to settle on 1 home and home

WV and Tennessee Both Covet NC recruiting grounds (Tennessee signed several NC players the last few years)

Not much love loss between the two school as of recently. At one time the two schools and fans had a better relationship, but its hard to ignore their constant berating of ECU.

"If you're not one of the big boys, don't hold the big boys back from being able to make their program better. Why should East Carolina be fighting for the same prize as North Carolina, that's absurd." - WV Head Coach Dana Holgorsen

His nephew is gonna play for Memphis.

Clay Holegersen

Just wait until his uncle finds out.

Clay: "Hey Uncle Dana, I'm going to Memphis.. they offered me a scholly."

Dana: "Congratu....wait...Memphis? Don't they play ECU?!?!? Come on kid, you're a loser! You better leave this thanksgiving table RIGHT NOW! You're directly responsible for taking food out of my players mouths!"

I get the neutral site games are all the rage and they only have 3 out of conference games due to the Big 12's schedule but don't say you are trying to schedule up and have those 3 as part of your out of conference. That is laughable. Play ECU, MD and Tennessee or VA Tech. That would be an NFL like schedule on top of the Big 12 slate. Although they are more likely to go 2-10 with that schedule than reach a bowl.

Towson beat UConn by 2 td's last year and made it to the FCS title game , GaSouthern beat Florida last year. Definitely not 2 automatic wins for the Mountaineers

Great point. I will bet the "neers would not have scheduled those if they knew those outcomes earlier
