Events during the Huskie Bowl (Spring Game)
Has anybody heard what they'll have going on along with the Spring Game. Any former NIU players confirmed to be in attendance, any tents or other promotions? I haven't seen much on the official site.

I know there is food at the reception before the game but didn't know the cost yet.

This is all I have seen...

Prior to the Huskie Bowl, starting at 12:30 pm there will be a NIU Athletics Tailgate in The Yard area in the west lawn parking lot, which will include information tables, the opportunity to renew your season tickets or gift, a beer garden, kids zone, and a DJ. Supporters who renew their Huskie Athletic Fund gift by Saturday, April 19th are invited to join the Football Coaching Staff and the Director of Athletics for the post-Huskie Bowl Donor Reception in the Barsema Hall of Champions.

Also this is the last day you can buy a CPC brick.

Too bad for me that I will most likely miss this event. Great nephew's 2-year-old birthday party. Oh well, at least it's not during the season! I already gave notice to my wife to put the schedule on her calendar. I was pleasantly surprised when she passed up a baby shower to attend the final basketball games.

We already have a conflict with the Miami OH game.

The only way we can all go is if the kickoff is before 1pm. Unfortunately we wont know what time the kickoff is until after the season ticket renewal is due.

That would definitely give me a reason to not buy my extra season ticket. It wouldn't be used for the last 2 games and there is no guarantee for the first 3.

I don't mind these little events at a reasonable price...as long as I think of them as a fundraiser for the program. Going out to Portillo's, Panera or Chick Fil A with my family would be in the 30-35 range so I don't mind spending that much plus a little extra for the program.

I'd want to know what the food is. I don't expect anything fancy, but I don't want to pay $15 for half-cold burgers and hotdogs. All in all, it's a good idea I think to create some atmosphere and hopefully make it an event.

You may want to re-think this. ANY hot dog from NIU is worth a fortune! Just remember the Great Hot Dog Famine of 2013.

The only thing more disappointing than a non-conf schedule featuring a home game vs Presbyterian and 3 away games is a plump juicy hot dog surrounded by a Huskie Stadium crusty stale bun

I don't understand how they can be so stale and hard when the hotdog is just sitting in it steaming.

Its always better than cold Domino's Pizza though.

...and according to my wife a long walk, to a long line for a dirty bathroom is much more disappointing.
