My that was an intense episode last night.

Watching Raylan abandon Ava was really tough. For the first time in the whole series I really disliked him.

Boyd's bringing up Nicky Augustine provided a short but intense moment until Tim saved the day. For a brief moment, I thought maybe everything was about to fall apart for Raylan.

And the gambit on Kendall wrapped it up nicely.

On the humorous side, Dewey continues to demonstrate how he is the biggest a$$hole in the world. They can get rid of Darryl but I hope Dewey comes back next season. Wendy too.

We know that next week's episode will resolve the Kendall issue but I'm thinking Ava might have to spend next season in jail.

The quote of the day from that episode has to be "The anus is on you"
by Dewey Crowe.
I don't think he is so much of an a$$hole as he is an idiot.
I wonder if there will be any spin offs from the show. I wouldn't mind seeing Ava continue her life in lockup for a few more years.
She is one of my favorite characters on the show.

Finally watched it last night.. Raylan needed something, right now Ava is not his concern. She got in bed with Boyd and they're not his concern unless they had something to do with Art getting shot. Although I hate he didn't at least try to get her help.

The scene with Boyd bringing up Nicky was golden. If there wasn't an affidavit, you'd swear Boyd had that up his sleeve for when times got hard.

The gamble and reaction to Kendall's court session is going to wrap up nicely. I like Michael Rappaport, however, his character grates my nerves. He's definitely smarter than any of the other Crowes, and he can beat the hell out of any man, I just don't like the way he handles things (killing guys in Mexico to get the drug trade going for him, taking over Dewey's spot in Harlan, making Kendall take the fall for him). That's what grates my nerves the most and his overdone accent.

As far as Art making Rachel the interim chief, I believe was the smart move. Raylan is too gung ho and Tim doesn't seem to take the job seriously. Rachel was a good fit, and like Art she knows the team and knows how to steer them.

I think Ava will be getting out. How I don't know, but I feel like she'll be getting out.. I believe the neo Nazi sister said she heard rumor that Ava didn't shiv the guard... I could've misheard myself.

Since last week, I went back and watched the very first episode of season one (on Amazon Prime). It's worth the time since it kind of finished the circle, regardless there is one season left. There is an almost identical scene with Dewey: Raylan and Ava throw a different kind of sparks; and Boyd seems to have regressed. And Ava looks really hot.

I read somewhere that in the season finale, Ava plays a big role in how the season ends and how the last season plays out.

Great wrap up on the season and set-up for next season.

Wendy killing Daryl was perfect, as we saw how Daryl destroyed her throughout the season. She went from a hot smart city-chick to an abused hillbilly.

At first I thought Ava's release was kind of gimmicky; that the writers wanted to get her out of jail. But then we find out that it was orchestrated by the Vasquez to set up Ava as a snitch on Boyd. See how clever the writing was when Ava made the jail house speech that she was not a snitch, yet the series turns on her becoming one. Brilliant!

No doubt Boyd will die at the end but the question is will it be by Raylan or Ava.

I'm going to predict that the final scene, one year from today, will show Raylan having lunch at the restaurant on top of the hotel in Miami, and saying to the waiter: "I'll have the crab cakes. I hear they're the best in town." Closing the circle.

Awesome wrap up.. The "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" cover is like the 3rd different cover to the song they've played at the season finales.. It started with the season with Mags using Brad Paisley's version, the season when Arlo died it was a different cover, and then this season finale was a completely different cover.

Wendy killing Darryl was perfect. I like Wendy's character, but I fear this will be the last we see of her.

It was too easy for Raylan to get his transfer, but the way they decided to keep him in Lexington was brilliant. I think Art has let the grudge go, but is regretting letting Raylan go so quickly.

I'm loving Rachel's character more and more.

Ava being released was kinda gimmicky, but the way it showed how she really got released makes me think that Boyd knows something is up. Remember the guard said earlier in the season he could recant but it wouldn't do any good. Makes me wonder if he's suspicious.

I don't think Boyd will die. Raylan has had several opportunities to kill him but hasn't. A lot can be said about the bond that Boyd and Raylan had growing up. Sure Raylan hates Boyd, but deep down he's a friend. I think it was the end of season 1 where Boyd tells Raylan that he was the only friend he had left. I think Boyd will be seen in a federal prison like we saw him in the first season.

You gotta love ole Dewey. If he could just stop referring to himself in the third person.COGS
