I know you're being sarcastic but it's just $1 per month.

I wouldn't mind $1 a month, but doesn't it increase after 3 months?

It does but 10$ a month is not much in the grand scheme of things. And even if that is too expensive for you, it doesn't change the fact that OldTimer is stealing content and clicks from VP. As someone who has spent the last four years working for a national magazine, I would be irate if someone posted this much of my work. The clicks matter.

Lots of people, entertaining football, but not enough BBQ.

How many would you estimate in attendance. I told my wife I thought we had about 5,000 there. How does that sound to you?

One of the officials, said the estimated attendance was 6,500 plus. It was a great nice crowd. Will post pictures later.

I'm not sure what happened to Seger today. I watched him in the last two open scrimmages, and he was just awesome. Before today, I thought our kicking game was in good shape. Hopefully, it was just one of those days.

I absolutely concur on the punter. I understand will be getting some help this fall with one of the incoming freshman walk-ons. I hope so.

He had the leg, just not the accuracy, today. let's hope it was a bit of nerves. Jared Brown apparently had an off day when he was at WVU, when competing for the kicker spot there, and that is how he ended up at ODU. A great day for ODU, though!

Punting has worried me since Plisco's last game. Let's cross our fingers Bobby finds the answer to that.

With 3/4's of the east side stands filled, I am sure that there were 6 - 6.5 K. I was told that 2,100 runners were in the race and could not begin to say how many BBQ fans 03-lmfao were in the silver lot with JJ, Big Blue and the team. It was a really nice day and we had great participation from Monarch Nation. just my 2 cent.

I'm a little nervous about the punting and kicking as well 03-pissed

There is no way there were only 3000 there. Had to be 5k to 6k.

3 sounds light, 6 heavy. I'd go with 4. Either way, there are more fans every year, and there was actual excitement in the stands. Very fun day. I saw one Dad introducing his son to every coach he could. Seems kids are trying to get on the team. I think with some more local recruiting success we will some day soon be in real competition with UVA, then VT.

RE: ODU Football Spring Game April 12
What a fantastic day for ODU. I wanted to take just a moment to thank everyone that helped out with the cards on Saturday. It was nice to meet a few of the most enthusiastic, crazy Monarch fans on the planet 01-ncaabbs (maybe 14 or 15). I was able to give out about 100 cards to other forum members yesterday so they could assist with the hand outs. Again thanks, the reception from the participants at the BBQ was great. I am only estimating, I think I gave out about 300 cards from 11:45 -2pm. I gave the representatives at the Monarch Manic desk about 200 cards for yesterday and for future give outs, they were genuinely interest, and not one of the students at this table knew about the boards. I gave her my cell number so when they needed more or if we could help them in some way she could reach out to us. I was fortunate to find an ODU official at Web Center that was a part of the Student Engagement and Enrollment Services. I was able to give him a few cards, I offered 200 he would only take half and said that would be sufficient at that time. Sorry to say, he had no concept what the fan forum boards are or what I was talking about. I ran into an ODU faculty member, gave him a card. He saw me later at the game and said he had gone to his office, logged in and said "you must be Oldtimer". He was very excited and respectful and looked forward to visiting the boards on occasions so he could share in the future. He and his family are very loyal and dedicated fans.

I got to the game about 2:45 and was running out of gas, but handed out another 100 or so cards and than moved on to get ready to watch the game. However before I made my way to the stands I saw the Marching Monarchs coming from behind the stadium. I quickly went over looking for a trombone player, I couldn't find Blue Trombone. When I inquired, a tuba player offered to give the cards to BT when he saw him. I explained they were for the band guys and gals (50 cards or so).

When I got to the stands I felt I could not disturb any fans ready to watch the game with my chatter about the boards. However I was approached by several people to get a few cards to hand out to their friends. Several board members took extra cards to the baseball game (I couldn't attend).

So again my most sincere appreciation for everyone's assistance and I hope we will see some active new members. All in all, I think we were able to distribute yesterday and for future events about 800 cards.

So, all the talk about a new offensive system; anyone have any insight?

I did see Heinicke throw a shovel pass which I can't recall happening before :)

They said it's not really something readily apparent. It has more to do with Heinicke being given 3 options and then being able to switch out at the line based on the defense. They had audibles in the past, but I think now each play has 3 options---run the play called, switch out to a run or switch out to a pass (obviously different than whatever was called).

I saw some stuff that looked like pistol type offense where the QB can put the ball in the RB's gut or put it in and then take it away for a pass.... didn't look like the typical play action stuff.
