You guys make me laugh. Similarly, I saw a WEBSITE of "people" (definitely NOT government agents) looking for people to join their militias!!!!!

Today, militias are typically a group of friends or neighbors numbering from 2-50 that get together on weekends to sight in guns and target practice. We swap goodies and do group purchases to get lower prices. We go to estate auctions and put our monies together.

The government can't track that.

There's a militia that meets in Wilson County. I've seen the shape of those guys if they ever got caught in a running situation...well let's just say that we'll be down a militia.

You know the saying. I don't have to outrun everyone, I just gotta outrun one person,

I hope it never comes to the point that we have to form militias to protect ourselves from enemies, no matter if foreign or domestic.

Admittedly, my experience with 'militias' is limited but they do seem, some of them, associated with sovereign citizen folks who are certifiably insane.

That is one thing I never hope to have happen.

When I was younger, my neighbor (the one I was voluntold to help in the other thread) was in the middle of some war when she was younger. She's the reason I know not to ask about that type of stuff to foreigners.

I'll agree with that.

Depends on the situation. I'm sure as hell not joining some militia just to waste rounds and play GI Joe. But if sh*t hit the fan, I'd obviously join one and fight for our Constitution. I really don't think I'll have to join one in my lifetime, but ya never know.
