Marquette Hires Wojo
Apparently Wojo was just waiting for the right fit, or with Coach K indicating last week he can coach 5 more years, he decided he was finished waiting.

It'll be fun to see how he does after such a long apprenticeship under Coach K.

One parallel is Mike Budenholzer, who was an assistant under Gregg Popovich for the Spurs for 16 years. He was the heir apparent but decided before this season to take the Atlanta Hawks head coaching job. They have had middling success but have played most of the season without their best player, Al Horford.

In CUSA coaching news, Louisiana Tech is announcing today they are hiring Tyler Summitt (son of Pat Summitt) as its new women's basketball coach. He's 23 (born in 1990).

Does Louisiana Tech even conduct a search or do they hire the son of any former legend/prominent parent? Derek Dooley, Sonny Dykes, Tyler Summitt, Mike White (Dad's AD at Duke), Skip Holtz.

They don't hire coaches.
They breed them.
