Not unless he redshirted (which apparently he didn't if he had those stats his freshman year) or can show hardship somehow.

I think it's better, since he is transfer, because by then Shaq will probably be gone, and he should be better and more seasoned and still have 3 more years of eligibility. Regardless of who he played against, this guy put up good numbers, as a TRUE FRESHMAN. That's not easy.

As you said, we could have him for 3 years. Also, he'll make Shaq, Austin, and Dom better by practicing against them every day.

Shaq needs to stay until his eligibility is up. He needs to work on his game.

I didn't say what he need to do, but what he'll probably will do, but this Obi looks like the real deal.

Work on his game? Don't they work on their game in the NBA and Europe?

Yeah they do in the NBA but don't know what they do in Europe, but they also want guys who don't disappear during important games. He pretty much disappeared in the conf. tourney game and the game against Virginia (but so did everyone else). Not sure he can play center in the NBA. I haven't see any consistent post up game for a center plus he's on the short side. Also, I don't think his mid range game is consistent enough for a PF.

RE: Sean Obi - Rice center
Pastner would be wise to hire Ben Braun and then recruit Obi (the guy that Braun got to Rice in the first place). A package deal that addresses two issues immediately. Have Obi sit out and join Lawson and hopefully Skal the following season.

Lot's of gears to synchronize here; what are the odds.

No idea. Maybe someone can email CJP and float the idea. However, I'm sure he's probably already aware and has more important things to consider.

I think he means his game needs to be found/discovered....hopefully we can bring that out for the next season....I would hate to see Shaq not improve tremendously
