UAB left way too many on in that last game against FIU. Bases were loaded a couple of times with nothing to show for it.

Current RPI:
Rice - 10
FIU - 34
ODU - 39
UAB - 52
USM - 77
ECU - 122
MT - 126
UTSA - 136
Tulane - 142
FAU - 173
Marshall -181
LA Tech - 186
Charlotte - 207

Could be all alone in 2nd place. 1-0, 1-0, 2-0 games sound like some solid pitching from both teams

UAB will still get plenty of votes in the upcoming poll though. I hate UTSA's RPI. We have solid wins vs ranked teams like FAU and Sam Houston State but we always crap the bed on those Tuesday night games where Coach Marshall allows all the mediocre relievers to start/pitch throughout the game so he can save the studs for the weekend series. Luckily our best pitchers should all be back next year and UTSA has done a solid job in recruiting

I think that Hawai'i series ended UAB's run in the ALSO RECEIVING VOTES column for a while.

FIU is #2 in the Country in ERA, we've allowed 4 total runs in the last 7 games. A few more runs in the first couple games at UAB and we'd be tied with Rice atop C-USA. Hat's off to Blazer starting pitching though as their front-line starters proved almost unsolvable.

Thankfully UTSA does not have to play UAB or FIU this year!

I'm interested to see how FAU bounces back. They are too good of a team to be middle of the road right now

Not nearly as bad as the record indicates, just VERY young. All but 3-4 of our losses have been close, many in fact have been blown by our young bullpen in the 8th and 9th innings, or extra innings.

There are some reasons for optimism going forward. Let's hope we continue to improve. We're out do conference this week. It would be nice to continue the upward trend.
